I'm blessed to live in a free country. I'm blessed with a wonderful family. I'm blessed with a warm, dry house. I'm blessed with bountiful food.
Take a minute right now to count your blessings... ...and now take a minute to think about the fact that nearly half of the world's population (more than 3 billion people) live on less than $2.50 a day, and half of them are living on less than $1.25 a day.

Did you wear red on Tuesday, June 10, 2014? Our whole family was wearing red that day in memory of the three RCMP officers who were killed in Moncton, New Brunswick on Friday, June 6, 2014: Constable Douglas James Larche, Constable David Joseph Ross, and Costable Fabrice Georges Gevaudan.
Here are a few family pictures that we took that day:

The Four Girls
The Five Boys
Our whole family went to watch the RCMP Musical Ride in Armstrong on July 24, 2013. We all loved watching those beautiful black horses, and the riders were striking in their red serge. My sister Anna is our family photographer, and here are nine of the best photographs she took that evening.
Dad is really good about doing his research before buying new things, so we asked him to research tractors and find out which one was the best tractor for our farm. All we knew is that we wanted a Kubota, and in the end we bought a brand new M5640 tractor with an LA1002 bucket from Avenue Machinery in Vernon, BC.
Peter, Anna, and I aren't just siblings now - we're partners too! We made our first major farm purchase together on March 19, 2013, buying a brand new Kubota tractor.
It was a really good price because Kubota is phasing this model of tractor out. In addition, this tractor was made in late 2009 and sat in Avenue Machinery's lot for the past three years, where they put 61 kilometers on it.
Peter, Anna, and I are so happy that we saved our paychecks from the past year and could buy this tractor for our farm. I think that the family is pretty pleased with the new tractor too. :)
